The renovation of the Lower Level of the American Dental Association headquarters at 211 E. Chicago was undertaken to upgrade the image of the "basement" as a quality office environment and recapture under-utilized storage areas as leasable space. The ADA also wanted to develop their in-house duplicating and office service areas as retail amenity to building tenants. CRDA created lively and updated public corridor areas, a state-of-the-art printing facility, shipping / receiving center, employee lounge, and tenant storage areas. A 5,000 square foot leasable tenant area was recaptured, as well as 15,000 square feet of space chargeable to the ADA.
